I actually put them finishing 7th in my top 8... I think they are a bit better than 10th I think.

I think they have a good mix of young guys and old guys.

Gundog, one bad quarter in one trail match and you want the coach sacked. Get your hand off it. The Crows have never had a tendency for one horrible quarter, in fact they always fight to the end (e.g. Geelong NAB match) when they have the potential to be beaten by 90+ points.

Crows will be around the mark again, probably in the bottom half of the 8 or just outside in my reckoning. But its certainly not the doom and gloom you suggest. Are you forgetting that Neil Craig has a better winning percentage than any other coach in the league currently??

Yes finals are a problem, but at least we play them more often than not.

Not only a better winning percentage, but a better winning percentage with a team that could probably be considered to be overachieving.

He's definitely not a bad coach.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

He was dud at Norwood and he's a dud at the crows nothing has changed more of the same scientific garbage.

When will craigy and his recuiting staff actually recuit a full forward, instead of relying on unreliable kicks like Gill and the Birdman plus a few others, the crows have not had a 4 goal a game average player since Modra, and he got shafted.

There's a problem with clicks within the club, last year Lukie J kicks 5 in a game and get dropped the next week, at least luke could kick straight, I think they are going to rely henchel too much this year.

It more the case the 8th spot will come from anywhere, a year without Juddy and Cuz at the Eagles has given a few younger blokes to progress and they could surprise us all but their on a knife edge as the there true position.

As for the sainters yeh they maybe in the mix but so often the promise a lot and then let you down not sure where their playing list is at yet.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

gundog, how many other teams at the moment have a 4 goal a game forward.

come to think of it, how many have there been in the last 10 years at ANY club?

fevola, franklin, lloyd, gherig, lynch, pavlich... who else? not many at all that i can think of. key forwards dont exactly grow on trees.

how many other teams have had a midfield like adelaide's in the past 10 years? i would contend that only west coast and brisbane have had better ones

how many other teams have had a defence like adelaides? only sydney would qualify here.

so just because they dont have a gun forward, doesn't mean that they haven't been a good team.

as pete said, year after year the crows are predicted to finish bottom eight, and sometimes even bottom of the ladder. if you look through their squad, they always look slow and you wonder where their goals are going to come from.

yet year after year craig has got them into the finals, and a couple of prelim finals. with a bit of luck (and probably a bit more matchday nous from craig) they probably would have played off in at least one grand final.

i would content that craig is one of the best coaches going around - the preparation and discipline of his team are copied by most clubs in the league now - he has set the trend in this area

the only question over his coaching ability is his match day tactics - or rather what happens when they aren't working, sometimes he is a bit slow to make a change.
