Re: Adelaide United in the Asian Champions League
That's the Chelski spirit
Ask Paul Reid what he thinks of finals and being down 0-3 at half time.
Some key things which I think are in our favour...
1) The flies have been pissing Gamba off while they train (muahah)
2) It's gonna be hot!
3) Paul Reid is back in the side - he's our very own Dietmar Hamann!
4) Away teams have all seemed to struggle when playing in another country.
5) I'll be there yelling my head off
6) I reckon Gamba think it's already won, and that's the biggest mistake they can make.
7) They shoot a lot from distance and this time they should be under a lot more pressure in midfield.
8) If we leave Sarkies on the bench we've won for sure.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Yes, they did dominate us.
Sarkies started, Paul Reid on the bench = problem number 1
It will be a different game tonight and if nothing else it will be a lot more even. I don't *expect* us to win... but I'm confident that we can.

Re: Adelaide United in the Asian Champions League
it would be like westies taking on the crows - there is a definite gap in class.
there was a stat in the paper that i like - gamba's top 3 players, endo, lucas (and someone else who i can't remember), earn more than - wait for it, adelaide, melbourne and sydney's salary capped players!!!
ALL OF THEM!!!!
not a snowflakes chance in hell we will score 4 clear goals
but i am happy to eat my words tonight
adelaide have done so friggin well to get this far, i don't think there is any disgrace in losing 3-0 again tonight.
my tip is 0-2
