Hawks and West Coast game was really great to watch. It could very well be a preview of the 2012 GF. I would've preferred that there were better conditions so the sides could really display their skill. I doubt anyone will beat WC at Patterson's this year and the Hawks may be the ones to come the closest. Any thoughts from hawk guys? Gmat and harps? Pleased with your mobs efforts despite the loss?

After the first quarter of the Ess/Carlton game, I took Essendon to lead at half time paying $4.10. Bet of the round! But nothing to make me rich just yet. Nothing like this:

I think we should have gotten beaten by a lot more. We definately played the game on their terms. So much loose man in the back like junk, I thought it was painful to watch.
The conditions did seem to have an effect ( but it was hard to tell on tv) but how they BOTH scored so many points is bizarre.
Spose it's not that big a deal to lose over there, but I hope losing these close ones isn't habit forming.
I see Joel has taught his brother his trick, who has in turn passed it on to Priddis (who has added a head flick for effect). Happy to see that the umpires were wise to it ( for the most part).

How Nic Nat's tackle for holding the ball wasn't paid in the last minute I'll never know. Raged so hard when the umpire called that.

It was a weird game. I did like how we choked up Hawthorns defence and didn't let them run away with a score, but hated how we couldn't convert. We had more chances than you guys, should've run away with it really. Kennedy needs to go back and practice his kicking, been awful the past few weeks.

Much more happy at our top four chances now given we have three games over the Cats (before what looks like a win today) two games over the Hawks and Pies and one over Carlton. Can change a lot though as we play each of these teams twice this year.

And none over the mighty bombers!

Round 7 could well see a massive top of the table clash.

best play by the Hawks was handballing across the face of goals, made sure that the West Coast "duckers" won the game.

I think the A.F.L has to look @ the bench & maybe make it 4+ a sub. this would have to be the worst round I can remember for BAD injuries. 3 teams have lost players in the 1st 5 minutes.

I felt sick watching that Robbie Gray injury. :S The Sydney player who went down in the 1st Qtr also looked fairly serious.
