Re: How disappointing are the Jellybacks!!
even though klinger has had a gun season, he would still be well behind jaques (when he is fit again), rogers, david hussey, hodge, voges and others who have cricket australia contracts and have done consistently well over many seasons.
up until this season, klinger was a fringe victorian player, so he will need at least 1 more gun season before he would be considered

234 @ 33.42 with 2 x 50's
Clarke and Ponting only averaged 35.85 and 38 respectively
It's not like he's getting ducks, he's making starts. Also if Katich didn't run him out this test we would have easily made a ton.

thats why they dont have the australia a any more!
and they kept on thrashing the other international sides, which isn't really a good look for the game
OH GOD
SA have lost 3/33 to be 5/271
going into the last hour of play, they need 71 runs to win from 16 overs at a rate of 4.43. 5 wickets in hand.
this is gonna be tight
klinger still there on 133, if he gets out, SA will lose i reckon

Re: How disappointing are the Jellybacks!!
Should win now. 16 needed with about 5 overs left
Des, stats can prove anything. Haydos is not in good form, and he's 35. He needs a shove out of the side.
Other players deserve a spot ahead of Klinger though. He's proven he can bat. He made decent runs when he started for Vic, but usually lost out when Hodge returned.
They are already talking about Symo getting dropped after 2 bad games, but you don't hear it about Hayden. Haddin was also talked about, seems to be 1 rule for some, and 1 for others.
Hayden for retirement
