I 100% agree with that, Steve.
One of the points mentioned was just how physically hard/draining it actually is to go and play where it's 40+ degrees when most of our squad are used to England/Europe winters. Complaining about an away draw against potential close rivals in the group is just plain daft.
Pim has done an EXCELLENT job, very professional and not taking any bs either.

Re: 2010 Football World Cup Qualification
Both of the Koreas are through as well.
So from the Asian zone the qualifiers for the World Cup are: Australia, Japan, South Korea, North Korea.
The 3rd placed teams in each group now have to play each other (home and away) with the eventual winner then playing against whoever wins the Oceania zone (our old zone), which surely would be New Zealand. Not sure if they also play home and away.
The winner of that is then through to the World Cup and the Asian zone qualification process is complete.

New Zealand are already champions of Oceania pete. The third placed teams from each of the asian groups (which are saudi arabia and bahrain) will play off for the right to beat New Zealand and get into the world cup.
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

Goodo, not that there was ever much doubt.
Their only half serious oppostion would have been New Caledonia or some such.
So it will be (Bahrain or Saudi Arabia) vs New Zealand for the final Asian zone placing in the World Cup.
