How many teams (including Essendon) actually have used their entire playing list? If it would need to be expanded, cool, expand it.
Money from TV rights could expect to be higher as there'd be more games to televise, naturally some of that would have to filter down to the clubs. Clubs would also take more from gate receipts.
Be very interesting to see what they do as far as the draw goes when the other clubs join in.

the interesting thing i see is what they do with the byes when the new team comes in.
it is reported that they will go to a 24 round season when the gold coast comes in.
because there is now 17 teams, there will have to be rounds when there are 3 teams on a bye, similar to the SANFL - but this means there will only be 7 games on this week, and the tv rights guarantee 8 games a week.
