Does anyone else get really p!ssed when channel 10 advertises something as live (ie tonights F1GP), where it is really being shown on a 2 hour delay?
I just checked my epg on fox, and it doesn't show as being live on there, but yourtv.com.au shows it as being live. Grrrr.
If went to fire up live timing on the f1.com site, and inadvertently found out the winner, i'd be rather upset. F1 is fantastic, but only when you don't know what is going to happen. ie. Friends in the UK "oh, hamilton just won!" Grrr.

Blatant abuse of the word 'live' is indeed a sin.

Agreed, it annoys me too. They just said on RPM that it's live on TenHD but delayed 'live' on normal 10 at 11:15pm.
Don't even get me started on ad's during the V8s. Why do they need to have them so often when they play the same 6 ad's every break? You remember all the ad's by the end of round 3 anyway. Surely they don't need an ad break every 5 laps to enforce it.
And if I have to see another lot of dodgy acting by Russell Ingall, Jason Bright or Mark Taylor it's not going to make me buy their product.

I think ch 7 overstepped the bounds of what is sensible with how much they paid for the broadcast rights for the v8's.
It's fairly clear that the only way they can afford/justify that is to cram SO many ads in but what they obviously didn't think/care about was just how much it makes people hate them.
Any time there's an ad during play I just want to break things! ESPN do it during the Champions League (advertising what's coming up) and their ad just blocks out about a third of the screen. It's the very height of rudeness.

It starts earlier on 10HD, generally starts around 9:50pm. it isnt quite live I suspect, but as close as we're gonna get I think. I feel your pain though, as soon as it gets to 9:30 I have to close MSN (I have several contacts in Europe who are also mad F1 fans) and stay away from the car/motorsport forums I frequent, and F1 news sites and wait impatiently for the time to tick by. At least with 10HD I dont have to wait til 11:30 or whenever anymore.
Fantastic season though, I'm a big McLaren fan, and while things havent quite gone our way the last couple of races, they're coming good I think.
