awesome. last scene was a slight let down, but the "gus" scene was intense.

Just getting in to this, been hard avoiding spoilers and the like but I'm up to ep 3.

Dakota so has it right, that was epic.

season one for me - the intensity of those first few eps (brush fire and dude melting thru roof) were just awesome. Great stuff after that still (thinking waiting out in the RV with Hank walking around), but the first few where we were discovering characters was best.

Nothing beats the second half of S3 for me.

"Run."

Come on, what an ending :D

AMC renewed Breaking Bad for a 16 episode, final 5th season today.

Pleased and saddened at this. Show probably only had another few years in it, but sad to see it go.

Yeah sad to see it go, but I expect the last season to be awesome!

Better to bow out strong - makes a spin off, or follow up, series easier? Did I read somewhere it is horribly expensive to produce? Prob need to make sure it has strong ratings until the end.

The ratings for this season have owned all previous seasons:

Producers may have gained leverage with the strong performance of the series in its fourth season in the US. The season debut on July 18 had the series' highest ratings ever, and overall Breaking Bad has 28 per cent more viewers this season than it had the last, the Nielsen Co said.

I actually prefer that series have a due date on them.

Too often I have followed a series only to have it cancelled and left with no satisfying ending or soem ramshackle hastilyh put together ending.

I think all TV series after if renewed after the first season should have a pre determined end date. It might even help with viewership!
