Totaly agree. I think you'll find half the teams have players not signed up to the forums! Are you disqualify all of them??

It should just be the captain to sign up and register :|
Dont discuss NPL rules, TDs are never wrong. EVER!

No, it should be as many of the team players as possible.
If this is going to become too much of a hassle what if we offered bonus points depending on how many team members were members of the forum.
The teams event, whilst be a fun novelty event, was also a marketing tool to get as many members as possible onto this forum or to at least have NPL members "check it out".
It takes one minute to register as a user, and it takes 5 minutes to have a look around.

Hi Garth, I've just registered on this forum and your saying that you have to be register to play in the team event(that's why I registered).
How are you going to know who is registered and who's not??
You don't have to provide your name when you register :? :?

I'm led to believe that when you register at the event on the day you tell the TD your username on here and they cross you off the list of forum members or something like that.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I personally like the idea of bonus points to those teams who have registered forum members in them. More members. More points. It makes sense and doesn't disadvantage anyone because they haven't joined.

Truth be told, after reading up on this and thinking about it I can now see that some people might have some difficulty in signing up. Be it that they don't have a PC with internet access or simply aren't skilled at using a PC and shouldn't be penalized for it.

All for the bonus points, a much simpler resolution.

How does NPL know who has registered anyway please? As I recall, when I registered the only personal information that was required from me was an email address.

Statistics show that over half the population have an Internet connection at home. Of the people that don't it is pretty reasonable to assume that at least half of those have the Internet at work or University/TAFE etc. The rest should have at least one friend or relative with Internet access (e.g. the Team Captain). For the rest, there is always public libraries and Internet cafe's. So lack of access or experience is a pretty poor excuse if you ask me.

At the very least the captain should at least catch up with the members who have not registered, and simply register for them :)

Now that being said.. I only just found out about this team event... so if any team finds a member pulling out at the last minute, or looking for a registered member, or whatever, i would like to put my hand up as a "reserve" :)

cheers!

This is a forum rite??????

What's the point of someone registering just for the sake of the team event and never coming back to it. A forum is for people to chat on post interesting things (stories, pics, etc) etc.

Is it just to say that "Our" forum has XXXX members but only 5% of these frequent it regularly?
