Building/Making things

Postby 666HARPS666 » Sun Feb 06, 2011 3:42 am

G'day,

One of my hobbies is building models, Mostly German WW2 A.F.V.s " Armoured Fighting Vehicles ".
Started when I was a kid, stopped @ about 13. In the 90's built a few models "Star Wars At At's & things"( Never to serious @ it ).
But in about 2001 I got the urge to start building again . "never by the plans, always my own way . Of course :) "
Since then I have bought an Airbrush, Had my Father build a spray booth "out of an old dishwasher" fan on top as well as a out door spot light for heat & light.
Last count I had 31 , 1/35th scale Tanks & 36 odd infantry men "some infantry not finished" complete.
About 2007 I have had no less than 12 models that I am trying to build @ the same time. One thing wrong with this is that I am building tanks, planes, ships & troops all @ the same time. "Have a problem I buy a new one & have to build certain parts" obsessive compulsive.
Some of the models I build which may only be 25 to 32 cm long contain over 1100 pieces.
I have had fun building some tanks for my cousins kids & painting them in their favorite Footy club colors.

here are some pics of The Tirpitz 1/350scale German Battleship "not complete yet. The A.F.V's in back ground are a collection . I Have not built them.

I like to make money also , but the more i make the more the wife spends .... :o

I like to make Beer ! !

Image

Fistly i mix ingredients into "wurt" ..

Image

Let it bubble away for 4-7 days .. When it stops bubbling i put into , BIG SILVER bottle !

Image

Then i put BIG SILVER bottle full of beeer into Kegorator (Beer term for refridgerator)

Image

After BIG SILVER bottle full of Beeeer gets down to drinking temperature (3-5deg) , i carbonate it , connect it to the "Silver Tasmanian Giraffe" (two headed beer pourer) , pur beer and drink ...

Image

Happy with end results ....

Cheers :D

Image
When choosing between the 2 evils , I like to choose the 1 i haven't tried yet !
Image

Chips are like burley , ya need to spread a little around to attract the fishies ...
