where abouts are you going to be using it? at caufield or in your hotel?

chances are you hotel will have internet, and if thats ALL you are getting it for then that might be the way to go.

We're staying at apartments in Caulfield.

I will use it at other times (no huge volume as I got this laptop just for poker etc)

Was looking at one that has a year to use credit

Having used 3 different mobile BB providers, go with Vodafone.
I think atm they have bonus data for the life of your plan to, and only $50 up front for the modem...

I use the Telstra turbo... $89 with 4GB of data built in, ... it does have a 1 month use by date however, but if you want to be able to use it anyware, the big T is the best for speed and reliability.

Cant go past Telstra for service in remote areas , but there pricing is a little dearer than most (i get 5Gigs for $45/24 mth plan) ...
but for city metro , pretty sure 3 and Vodafone have the $129 for 120Gig to use over 12months .... this is what i was going to get but the service where i needed it was non existing ..
;)
When choosing between the 2 evils , I like to choose the 1 i haven't tried yet !

Yeah the 12 month pre paid seems to be the most suitable. Can't see any point going on any plan for the minimal use it will get

dont you dare mention that name and internet in the same sentence ever again.

they singlehandedly the worst ISP in the history of the internet.

you know their "unlimited" plans out there at the moment?

yeah, they get shaped after 15 gig. and that includes uploads.
