Im just having some food and a red before going to see Ross Noble tonight in Renmark. He is easily my favourite comedian - this will be the 7th time i have seen him.

So who is your favourite comedian?

(on a side note, there is a best of the 90's countdown on Max atm that is rocking my socks. Brathwaite FTW!!)

Ross Noble is a gem! I saw him at the comedy festival a couple years back and his show was remarkable. The guy doesn't stop for two and a half hours. Had about 2 or 3 actual jokes that he goes off in tangents from.... Pumped for you Matt.

My personal favourite is Arj Barker, seen him at least 5 times over the years, including the time he came to Geelong!

I love Ross Noble anytime I have seen him on TV, like GNW and Thank God You're Here, but I have to say I have been really dissapointed by his latest show where he is touring Australia on a motorcycle... dunno why, he just doesnt seem as funny in that... Is this show you are going to see part of that tour? As its already on TV perhaps not, but maybe they are televising each episode as he does it... would fit in the timeline, I think he was in SHepparton 2 weeks ago?
And I seem to remember another long-haired UK-origined comedian doing the exact same thing many years ago...

My Vote for fav comedian (that is Australian, or has lived here) goes to Billy Connolly...

internationally, I would say Robin Williams. His standup is freaking unbeleivable.. I saw him on DVD somewhere in NY, and he was just a constant stream of hilarity, and you could tell most was improvised because he would keep getting side tracked into different jokes/stories (also he was obviously coked out of his head during the performance) and them come back to finish of earlier ones he had started. His impressions are great to. but without a doubt the funniest thing I can remember seeing.

Edit: as for old(er) commedians: How about Graham Bonde? I remember wathcing 'The Auny Jack' show as a kid, god it was funny, as is he....

haha fair call. quick typing FTL.

@AJG: seriously man, his live show is always awesome. 3 minute spots on tv just don't do him justice. i will personally pay you the $40 if you dont enjoy his live show - your description of robin williams fits ross pretty well for those who have seen him.

i can't wait, i pumped.

Judith Lucy.
Billy Connolly.
Jerry Seinfeld, more for his comedic skills compared to his standup.
