Got to Blue Alert Last Australia Day in Karratha.

The Bottleshops are allowed to Trade through Blue, but once Yellow strikes everything closes down.

Blue alert is 24-48 Hours
Yellow Alert is less than 24 hours
Red Alert is Pray to god.

All clear - Hopefully god heard you.

Once it hits blue alert though, all the mines shut down, and all the rigs send people to the mainland. The Bottleshop got Pummelled, talk avg week of 80k, we did 36k in one day. Not to mention being Australia Day, didn't hear any of the hottest 100. Was absolutely buggered.

But yeah most people are prepared but still never even got to the danger levels. Thoughts are with them, certain DPI has a fair amount of precautions in place for the safety of the people.

I gotta love the legend.

Current Location and Intensity Number

Very Destructive Winds
Destructive Winds
Gale Force Winds

It starts of Gale and works it's way up.
What makes me chuckle is "destructive" and "very destructive".
They went from gale to destructive, then thought, hell it could get worse, but what's worse than destructive???
I know... VERY destructive, good idea!

Seriously though I hope everyone in that neck of the woods is all safe and sound.
:D

Seriously. Gale is strong, Destructive is your house can still survive but those pot plants you just bought, say goodbye.

Very destructive if your house is not cyclone proof, your going to need a new house to go with the new pot plants.

Storm surges are also a bitch too.
Hey look at the water lapping at the road, hey why am i swimming?

Amazangly this is still! a cyclone... normally they wouldn't get this far inland and still be a cyclone. Very unusual to say the least... My mate in Cooper Pedy reckons they are going cop 50-100mils of rain later today and into tomorrow.

Has there ever been a cyclone in SA before     :o :o

I've been watching the map, he still looks pretty strong.
It's all over cast and cloudy now and the temp has dropped considerably, although still warm. A bit humid, I expect it will be humid all night now. the wind is a bit nasty at times.
