Zapp Brannigan: "Where to stay in Adelaide?"

I'm not sure where to put this post, Mods can move it if there is a better place....
I am looking for somewhere to stay near the Port Club in Alberton for the Grand Final next year..... Is 888pl recommending a particular hotel/motel for its interstate qualifiers? What do you Adelaide folk suggest? My google searches aren't finding anything all that inviting.... Should I just stay in the cbd and taxi out (or is Port Club further away than it looks on the map?) What suburbs/areas should I be searching for motels/hotels? Ideally I would want to be within a ten minute taxi ride of the Port Club......

Good idea Brett, I was looking at the original post, didn't even realise it had changed. These SA folks love thier Football clubs. Is that where the last Grand Final was? Or was that the East Adelaide FC?

Yes where the last Grand Final was held. So should be very similar levels of awesomeness again. Maybe even more awesome to be added to create legendary.
If i am not there though, will be all Meh. LOL.

the breakfree on hindley street was pretty good, cheap, neat and tidy. right in the heart of the city. 3 minutes by taxi to WAFC.
thats where we stayed for the grand final, it was good.

Anything in the CBD will be fine (depending on your tastes and money) as WAFC is a stones throw away.
