"RLA" nay "WLA"

Postby Bob B » Mon Jun 22, 2009 2:42 pm

Well I thought AK would have had a post up and running by now relating to another one of his "Great online WINS".

I was railing him up to 2am-ish and I knew it was time to to bed when I had a huge yawn and nearly fell off my chair.

I'm so sorry I didn't stay up that bit longer but I was really knackered so I got him PM me with the results.

"You;re a legend in your own lifetime Aaron well done".

"RLA" nay I say "WLA"

"WIN LIKE AARON"

You are all so naughty. Give him some credit when it's due.

After all he did get his hair cut and that should remove all the myths that he's only strong online because he has HAIR!!!!!!!!

Some of the lines I received after getting a haircut.

Matty N - 'Wow you have a working hairstyle now.'
Tommo - 'OH MY GOD. ITS SO SHORT.'
Various - 'Where did it go?'
benny the cunt - 'You look like a tool.'

A new topic on "Myth Busters" relating to "does a mop of hair make you run faster, jump higher, swim faster, fart longer, spell correctly, play better poker".

Answer ............... NO!!!!

Aaron has none of the above assets due solely to his massive mop of teased hair he once was so proud of. But there is a strong rumour going around that he is working on a better farting technique. :o

AK I was very impressed with your ALLIN plays when you were down to 2 tables and a total of around 8 or nine runners.

I was so surprised that nobody called you as you only had around $9k at one stage and the other 3 or 4 on your table had between $30 to $80k. You did it twice in MP and UG and only once from memory when you were OB and you folded almost every SB.

I can understand folding SB coz there was a chance the BB was gonna put you ALLIN and take the advantage away from you. And when you were BB they gave it to you coz again you would have been pot committed.

It's the ALLINS that leave me thinking why didn't they call?????

Did you you put it down to???

good table image!

others wanting to protect their stack and not double you up!

Did you have the cards to do it with at any time?

do you think you had a good read and good table postion,

Or were you just very lucky that nobody called,

What percentage would you put on those "ALLINS" where you had a really good hand?

I totally enjoyed watching you play and yes I do agree with you I also think you are a better online player and it does suit your game better.

But you are/were also a very good live player when you have the correct hat on. ;)

I shoved where I felt it was a good spot. Most of the time I had a hand like Q8s. Not once, until I had AKcc, did I have anything that could be considered as good. At most points the cards didn't even matter, I just knew that my opponents were not limp calling an 11BB shove. There was no point limping the SB, it was either all going in or I was folding.

A mix of both. If there was any raise on the table I wasn't going in with anything less than premium. I didn't hit any resistance with my shoves. If the hand was limped to me, I was putting it in a lot of the time.
