Sigh.

This isn't a bad beat topic, but I feel like posting this one, cos I just lost $31 in one hand.

I had K8s in the BB. LP limp, SB limp.

Flop: 8 6 2. I bet $1, call from LP, fold from SB.
Turn: K. I bet $1, call from LP.
River: 7. I bet $2, raise ALL IN from LP. For $45.

Wtf.... there isn't much that beats me here. A set, 9T or 54. Feels like a buy to me... I call.

Opp shows 54s.

GHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY.

Not limit.

What the hell are you doing.

Stop slow playing, and make it expensive for chasers. If they want to gamble make them make the mistake.

Betting 1 into a 5 pot means anybody is going to call you.

Betting 5 into a 5 pot, means he has to gamble, and is making the wrong call.

He got paid off on the river because you played badly.
Bet flop, pot turn, check river.

Thats an awesome photo!

ALK - sooo much wrong with your hand there.

1. You last to act with two limpers and have K-8s, = raise 3-4x BB

2. Flop top tair with solid kicker, bet pot at least. So in this case $3-$4 (some would jam here in a tourny)

3. Turn, Top 2-pair, jam or pot bet again.

4. You didn't specify what suits he or the flop had, but he already has an open ender on the flop (8 outs without flush) - its hard to see, but its there, he needs only a 3 or a 7 to make a straight, one you'll never (and didnt) see coming.

5. You let him see a turn and a river for a SCARY total of $2!^

6. You put all your money in without the nuts!

Not sure if the flop was 862 or 864. I don't think he had the double gutter. If so, fair call.

1. I should've, but ah well.
2. Pot was 0.75 on flop (10c/25c ring game, 3 limpers. I bet pot).
3. A pot bet was definiitely in order here (if not more).
4. Suits are unimportant, it was a rainbow board. And as I mentioned, flop could've been 864. I closed the box so I can't confirm.
5. Yeah :(
6. Again, yeah :( You can't only throw your money in with the nuts, though. Although I guess for $32, you should be :P

Looking back now... ugh. Cheers for your insight guys :)

Brett: Ew. That's... ugh. Guess it is just as my friend says "higher buyins = richer idiots."

I lost $1200 in one hand.

The nights work down the drain.

I raise UTG with JJ to 20

Button re raises to 66.

Flat call from loose passive BB.

I re pump to 172.

Button folds

BB calls.

Flop 7,7,4

BB checks.

I bet out 320.

BB min raises.

I now put him on pocket pair smaller than mine, 99 or TT, if he hit the boat or trips on flop he isn't re raising me on the flop. Past history is a good designator.

I shove all in for my remaining $700. I know he is calling.

Sure enough calls and shows 99.

turn is a 7.

River is a 9.

Godammit!!!!
