It is common knowlege (to most) that even the manufacturers of Vicks don't know why it works via the feet, but it works!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose it's the same as people from all over the world putting garlic in your shoes to prevent a cold. And Chinese accupuncture is often performed through the feet to rectify other bodily problems.

My missus picked up this nagging cough over the weekend and I suggested she try it. Her stubboness lasted until Sunday night when she reluctently decided to try it. I say reluctantly knowing that I could be taking the mickey out on her, LOL.

if you show me a peer reviewed article in a widely respected medical journal that says putting vicks on your feet is better than putting it on your chest where you can more easily breathe it in, then i will believe you.

Personally, I find the recommended method of using Vaporub to be ineffective, so am more than happy to give this foot thing a try next time i'm sick - it can't do much worse I guess!
