be good to have the net again :(

i just moved house, and there is trouble with them setting up the ADSL connection

bloody RIM configuration, i cant get ADSL2 any more, and they are having trouble with standard ADSL!

pisses me off that i have moved into a new house, 6 years old, and i cant get ADSL2, wheras the crappy unit that i was that was about 12 years old i could get it fine.

i hope they get it sorted out soon, scrubs is coming back on in the US and i cant wait to see the rest of the season

anyway, thats just a rant from me - i gotta rant somewhere

Is it? I heard that after the writers strike, they decided to not film the final couple of episodes. It was finishing anyway. I hope I'm wrong, it's a great show!

I'm happy getting How I Met Your Mother again... when's Heroes back?

i think because of the strike, the season was going to be cut short, to 11 eps or something

but the creator (bill someone, his name escapes me at the moment) said that this was not going to be a fair way to let the show end

so the last i heard was that there was going to be some more eps coming soon, with the finale going straight to dvd

man i hope they give the show a proper sendoff, its the best show ever to be on TV

Bill Lawrence.

Agreed, although it has started to get a little thin in the last couple of seasons. Still an awesome show :)

yeah season 6 was a bit crap, with the whole musical ep etc.

but season 7 i reckon is back to its best (although i am a very biased scrubs fan)

as peter griffin once said about scrubs, "its the best show you're not watching america"

Very very common.

New areas = rims, shared copper...
Hell, all of Golden Grove is on a pair gain system.

Cheaper for developers to get Telstra to put in pair gain systems - means everyone gets a phone line and there's no difference, but as soon as you want something that demands a dedicated copper line, you're screwed.

Look at Mawson Lakes - no ADSL at all.
Look at Northgate - only just NOT getting upgraded to ADSL2... had ADSL 1 since the inception.

All new areas.

yeah paired gain systems suck

the funny thing is, is that ADSL as a technology was available when most of mawson lakes was getting built, so did the developers just ignore this?

does anyone know of any other good internet connections?

i am in gawler (new bit of evanston park), so the wireless crap from three and vodafone will not work.

i would be willing to pay through the nose for my net if the ADSL connection doesnt end up working.

i dont think cable connections exist any more do they? (pretty sure we dont have cable in our area either)

I had the same problem a couple of years ago, so I took to submitting an application to Internode every single day. I think it pissed Telstra off so much that they sorted out the problem for me within a month
