I heard at a venue this week that if the "D" word was used at a table, then a player could be disqualified from the tournament. Just wondering of the details behind this?

Any derogatory comment directed towards a player, especially any name calling, will now be treated as swearing.
A player will be given one warning, then if these actions continue the player will be expelled from the tournament.
I have already written a few posts on why this is happeneing, I will repost here.
Referring to someone in a derogatory manner will now result in a warning then expulsion from a tournament.
More than one expulsion will result in an instant minimum ten week suspension.
It seems some players out there have developed a sense of superiority and feel it necessary to point out someone's bad play rather obnoxiously, well it's their belief it's a bad play and may not necessarily be true.
What players need to realize is that in this state and in NPL at the moment there is a great disparity in skill levels, from beginner to veteran, and the one thing we do not want to see happening is the intimidation of new and beginning players. A lot of new and current players are being turned off poker tournaments due to this culture of abusing players that has crept into the NPL SA community.

I agree with the new rule especially in the heat of battle
But
If its fun and jovious it can be taken as a joke if said the right way.

I guess the new word is
EQUUS ASINUS
Now try saying that after a few drinks
