Just a quick question, if a venue runs a $10 buy-in event at the start of the Season, then changes this event to a $20 event mid-season, are these events classed as 2 different events (as they clearly are), or the same?
I.e., do the top 5 from the $10 event that was replaced with the $20 event mid-season qualify for the State final? And vice versa, If the $20 event ran for say the last 7 weeks, Are the top 5 based on only these 7 weeks, or the whole 3 month Season?
Is it the same for both 888pl and APL?
I seem to recall in the past, when an event changed format (i.e. from free-roll to buy-in, or higher buy-in), then the top 5 of the previous format were guaranteed qualification, and a new leaderboard was established for the rest of the season.....

Hi Jo,
Yes mate, that is exactly what should happen. You are correct is saying they are two different events thus require two different leaderboards. And ye this will be the same accross the 888PL/APL is SA. Are you referring to a particular venues games where this has not happened?
Tim.

Re: Event Qualifications for State Final
Thanks for the answer Tim. I might be wrong (and will check on Friday), but I'm pretty sure the APL event @ Sailmaster on Friday nights started the season as a $10 event, then reverted to a $20 event early in August? There only seems to be one leaderboard for this event on the APL website, and it seems to be a full season leaderboard, so I think this may be incorrect.....
