Last night at the Lakes on valentines day, Mr and Mrs Mad Cow (Harry and Patty) went heads up with Mr Patty winning. Is the the first time that a husband and wife have survived to be heads up?

I’m a TD in the Riverland and in the first game of season 2, when the drinks cards went from $500 to $1000 plus a few other rules were introduced (like staff being able to play!), me and the missus decided to drive to Loxton (about 40kms away) and play there to see what people thought of the rules and what impact the new season would have on numbers ect.
We played at separate tables all night until we both reached the final table. I was having one of those nights when the cards were all falling where they should. I was lucky enough to not even lose a hand all night and took all seven players out on the final table to leave just the missus and me heads up.
One of our regulars (who is a stand-up comedian by profession) gave a running commentary and cracked every one up with one-liners like “whoever wins doesn’t have to do the dishes” and all that.
I wanted bragging rights and had my reputation to uphold so I took her out quick and painless, which didn’t matter to her as I couldn’t win any prizes or points, so she got the trophy. It sits on our mantelpiece amid constant reminders from me as to who it was REALLY won by!
