You're a Bunch of Factors

Dear 888PL,

Just FYI......The "todays venue" listings and "season dates for 2011 season 1" are inaccurate.

888PL's website states that Season 1, 2011 started today at my local venue (Highlander Hotel - $20 tourney - Sun, Jan 2nd) but it doesn't.

After checking the website, I drove to the Highlander to find out there's no poker tonight, that "it starts next week". So I drive back home completing a 30 minute round trip of wasted time and petrol.

During the time I was there, about ten other people arrived and found out the same way as me. They were quite cheesed off.

The 30 minute drive was a little annoying but oh well sh*t happens; but if any dates or other info changes in future, could 888PL kindly amend the website at the time of the decision being made so information is always current and accurate and thus - to be relied upon.

Sunday 2nd January
Bentleys Hotel - 6.30pm
Cowandilla Sports & SC - 1.30pm
Emu - 1.30pm
Hotel Royal - 6.30pm
Kingsford Hotel - 6.30pm
Pooraka S&SC - 12.00pm
Seaford Hotel - 6.30pm
Flagstaff - 6.00pm

It been known for weeks that the Highlander was missing 2 Sundays in a row over New Years. It was announced at every Highlander game through-out December (including my Wednesday games). A text message went out (multiple times to most people) with a reference to the article I posted above.

I do see it's on the website main page as being on today. That's not right obviously, but we have tried to get the information out there as many times as possible.

pretty sure cowandilla ain't going this season on sundays too

It's only going to have been known for weeks by the regulars, not the wider 888PL community. ie - me and the ten or so others that rocked up whilst I was there.

The real point of all this Caleb is simply this..... if changes are made to the schedule, the website should be changed at the same time to ensure all information on the website is accurate at all times. It's not about communicating it to just the regs at the venue in house or via text message.

It's about ensuring the website schedule is accurate for the entire 888PL community.
