I know you have probably discussed it before but I thought I may get some opinions. I was just wondering if it would be worth giving some sort of incentives for people to return to the same venue the next week.
A couple of ideas thrown around have been:
a) An extra passport that can be stamped after the first break to be used the next week at that venue only for bonus starting chips token(maybe 1000)
b) Final table players get a bonus chip token for that venue only.
c) Bonus chip token given at sign in valid for the next round at that venue only.

Re: Repeat business incentives
i dont mind the idea
if you make it too big an incentive though, it might have the opposite effect, and stop the player playing the odd second game in a week because they are at too much of a disadvantge over the regulars.
points for state finals is enough of an incentive for a lot of people

Re: Repeat business incentives
I like that. 1k isn't too much, and sure a lot of people play the same venue every week, but this would encourage the guy that only comes once in a while or is semi regular.
If you made it that that card had to be stamped as well, sure it's an extra card to stamp, but most people have no problem with I think. It's an idea worth playing with I think.

Re: Repeat business incentives
Yeah, perhaps you could stamp it, between that night and the next week.
Of course you still have to remember to bring it

Re: Repeat business incentives
I don't know about you guys but I'm usually at the venue for a meal with the obligatory drink. 1 or 2 beers through 1st session. Get through 'Muppet hour' and another beer or 2 follows. Obviously there are those people that only buy drinks before the 1st break and once the stamping stops the hand doesn't reach the pocket. I think incentives need to be given to those who support the venues that support 888pl.

Re: Repeat business incentives
you need to be careful that it doesnt turn into a "the more you drink the more chips you have" like another league (as far as i understand it)
maybe you could have a "meal only" card, which can only be stamped if you buy a meal.

Re: Repeat business incentives
This idea maybe a little to far fetched.
I think an idea would be that you get a card that has 100/150 places for a stamp.
You only get one card at the beginning of the season.
Each stamp is worth 1,000 chips. You get one stamp for every $2 spent.
It is then up to you when you use the cards for chips.
So if running hot in event 1 you dont use the chip up card.
In event 2/3 if struggling you can cash in upto 10 stamps for 10,000 additional chips. prior to the first break
You can only get an additional 10,000 chips each night, but you can spend a larger amount then this, just dont use the chip ups.
If you dont use the stamp ups at the end of the season they are forfeited and you are given a new card at the start of the new season.
When you chip up the TD punches a hole in your card.
