I cant download the 888pl client

Postby Conspiracy Theorist » Sun May 24, 2009 10:42 pm

So I tried clicking the link in the email to download and install 888pl software.

Everytime I do my antivirus blocks me and says the file is infected.

My antivirus has never steered me wrong before.

Any ideas?

u am also having problems with the client. when i try to open the poker client, a dialog box comes up and says cant open some dll. i google it and it says that its adware!!

if i click ok, it opens up the client, and i can go to a table, but i cant see any of the cards, on the flop or in my hand. i also can't access any of the options, as the window that has the options in it opens as small as it possibly could, which is as big as the big red x button

edit: seems to be working on my lappy which has a different antivirus and it also runs xp

something fishy going on

Trend (and others) will tend to block more stuff than AVG.

Pretty simply because it detects more things and is better.

AVG isn't an antiviruses bumhole.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I honestly think it's them and not you.

Beccles has the same problem with trying to access the options (can't turn sound on as a result). She also is unable to even view their website using either IE or FF and wasn't able to download the software as a result, had to do it for her and then copy it across to her laptop. She is running XP Pro and Kaspersky.

I have issues with the time showing at all (is just blank) and then eventually it just shows up. I am also running XP Pro and Kaspersky.

I have to say I think it's just a crappy piece of software.

what i think it is, is that its trying to update now to their new software, and it cant' properly - even when i turn the antivirus off

might have to play on my lappy, or maybe even format and go again, although that isthe last resort

Actually, there's a forum for 888 I think.

Maybe there's the answers to that kinda thing on there (hopes not high though).
