Cash buy in games entry to the finals

Do cash buy in games top five on the leaderboard have entry to the finals in the same way as non buy in games?
If a player is number 6 at a venue and another player in the top five is higher at a buy in game, does this count???

as far as i know, buy in games are 100% the same as freerolls with regards to state finals qualification

everything that can be achieved at freerolls can be won at cbi, top 5 and ftt's etc
