I apologise if this has been asked elsewhere but i can't remember, so here goes.
What format are the cash buy-in events going to take? Maybe one of the vics could answer regarding what the current structure is in these events in victoria. (i.e. are there rebuys, are passport cards used, levels etc)
Are there plans to hold these events in all regions? or will they begin in metro areas and spread from there. Are they coming soon?
I do look forward to these coming, as it provides something extra for a good-average player to improve their skills against what is likely top be a slightly higher standard of game.
Perhaps garth or one of the vic td's will know more about this.
cheers.

Will be very interesting to see the format etc
I'm not convinced there'll be much noticaeble change in standard of play though. Some people can just afford it, doesn't mean they play differently
It may well attract some fishermen though.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Yeah i guess it might be the 'higher stakes equals richer idiots' scenario, but i cant wait to find out.

Re: NPL cash buy in events.
I have dabbled in a different league's cash games once, and ran 2nd/45 for $90 ($10 entry). It was DEFINITELY more fun than playing for a voucher. Good change - but even before the game started we were saying how we would rather play with NPL, they'd do a better one.
Or maybe it was the fact that we just missed Darren a lot.

only 90 from 450 prize pool for 2nd. seems a bit low.
what did they pay down to, and what did 1st get?
I see only what I wanna see
I'll be only what I wanna be

Prizepool: $450.
1st: $225.
2nd: $90.
3rd: $60~
4th: $50~
5th: $23.
Bit forgetful on the exact prices for 4th and 5th, but that was pretty much it. And yeah, $90 for 2nd was a disappointment. 1st automatically picks up 50% of the prize pool, regardless of runners.
