Sorry, I realise there has probably been topics posted about this before, but I am trying to understand how players average points are worked out.
Personally I have 3 different averages:
State ladder
Place: 25
Avg Points: 45.03
Points: 1044.05
Played: 38
Metro South
Place: 1
Avg Points: 49.19
Points: 941.25
Played: 34
Personal stats
Total Points: 1044.05
Total Played: 38
Average Points: 27.48
I would appreciate any help understanding how this is worked out.
Thanks heaps.

Re: Working out Average points
The average for the state leaderboard is calculated by taking the average of your best 15 games. Not sure if the regional leaderboard average is done over best 15, or best 10.
You "true" average, ie your overall stats, is simply total points divided by total games.

AHHHHH
I think I follow
So I take the top 15 game scores
add them up
and divide them by 15?
Thanks Scott

Re: Working out Average points
For the state leaderboard, correct.
After doing the math, it looks like the metro south leaderboard is ranked by the best 10 games, not 15. BTW, that's a very impressive season you're compiling!

Re: Working out Average points
Yeah, it seems to be that all regional leaderboards are based on your best 10 games, while the State is still using the 15 game basis.
On the B&G regional leaderboard, my average is 46.77. While on the state leaderboard, its 36.44.
And just quietly, how awesome a season are certain forum members having? Just check out these positions on the state leaderboard.

Ah, HAHAHAHAHA!
I actually typed up a message, but never posted it, along the lines of "Ssh, don't let Pete hear you say that, he'll lose all respect for us!"
"Please, my Leftie friends. On no possible definition does cutting someone’s tax rate constitutute ‘giving’ them money."
