Double points have never been offered in previous NPL competition.

Cheers Dame Garth. I must've thought it was a good idea then.
I still believe that the issue stems from the notice. A forum whore such as myself first heard of this in an SMS. Thought we'd have gotten a heads up, even if by 5 minutes before the texts were sent.
We are feeling unloved

I'm still trying to work out what your original point was, Bacon.

I don't remember. I feel like Bruce.
I guess, the points should all even out in the end, if players continue to play. But by offering a bonus, others may play more. Doing the comparison at the end of the season would be interestin, and something i'm sure a maths geek like ben will do
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

Re: Double December Points???
[quote="Bacon"]vic, how many places would u have dropped if they got normal points?
Bacon,
To give you an example, the three people who are above me now all played last night and only got ahead of me on the leaderboard coz of the double points they got......I know this was to be expected coz how can I compete with someone getting 130 points in one game?
Im just annoyed that after all my efforts this season, in order for me to stay in the top 10 I basically need to play every night to have a chance. Like I said in my earlier posts, if I had known double points were coming in I would not have played so hard early in the season or even chased for the leaderboard since I know I will be taken over by the hardcore gamers in the next few weeks.

Sorry to say this Vic... but you are one of the most hardcore this season!
You have played 73 games and is 2nd behind Mr Bickle on 85 games.
Last week (Mon to Sun) you played 15 games.
If you continued at your current pace... you will easily stay up there.

LOL.....nicely put Des, you are correct!
As I said, I might have not been so "hardcore" early if I had known double points were coming. Now its just a matter of whether I can be bothered being hardcore for the next 3 weeks to stay in the top 10!

Re: Double December Points???
and if they didn't get points, they would've stayed below u. One more game where u make ft, and you'll jump them again.
I see your point, but i believe u can still play regularly, and still finish ahead. And i don't mean 15 games a week.
And i take your point that, if u knew about double points, u wouldn't have gone so hard. But then, that would've gone against what npl are trying to do, and that's get people playing
