Wow - all I was doing was raising, as I saw it, a potential issue, not launching all out WW4-7 people!!

Oh - just a word of warning to reo, the powers that be love to run IP address checks, to bust your balls (I am of course assuming that you do have large ones considering the context of your posts!!).

Or am I not allowed to say stuff like that?!?

They have probably run IP checks and know who you are.

Anonimity on the net is dead nowadays anyway!

I got the latest issue of Bluff yesterday. And they have a nice article about Erik Seidel in there.

Full Tilt Pro,
Good Player,
Second to Johnny Chan in 1988 WSOP
Last Person to Win WSOP bracelets in three consecutive years 92-94. Before Allan Cunningham did it in 2005-2007

Not a lot of people know about him, but he has no theatrics in his game. He plays for both the challenge and the dollars. And is Truly a great game player.

Now look at someone like Hevad Khan, Humberto Brenes. To a certain extent Phil Hellmuth. They play, and people are expecting an outburst or some wacky thing to happen. Phil berating a player over a bad play, Humberto and his annoying shark (wasting time in a level), Don't get me started on Hevad Khan (bulldozer - ughh). But the fact is, they have great exposure because they are good tv.

Hellmuth can't win online, and can't win a bracelet in anything other than holdem. Humberto last bracelet wins were in the early 90's and Hevad Khan, well lets just say computer nerds hide behind screens for a reason.

This is why words have been banned through NPL events. So that players can learn and play the game in its true spirit. People playing cards having fun and enjoying themselves. Not worried about someone saying that it was a stupid call or that it was the wrong play - In essence people playing thinking that they are better than others, not realising that out there, They are probably marginal players, might get a good upswing but donating to those players that have learnt the game, and play the game not resorting to cheap tricks.

Even the WSOP is trying to curb this behaviour, One of the new rules implemented at this years events is

"No More excessive celebrations or excessive theatrics"

Anything that brings us closer to the WSOP is all good in my opinion :)

great, they will turn poker into a bunch of robot players, like Tennis and to a certain extent, AFL.

gotta have the characters in the game, poker wouldn't be popular without hellmuth and others

to the same extent though, antics such as this don't have a place in NPL

edit: reo HAHAHAHA u fool
PS i am laughing at you not at what u are saying

Darn, we beat the most online today. 25 WOW.

I'm trying to remember why we had 24 on, for the last record.

Congrats reo, you helped us.

every body good got burned, did they? For someone not involved, you seem to know a lot about our TD's.

I wouldn't know the names of anyone in the other leagues.
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

See what you start Matty - when you say I should mention the don.key avatar, coz you can't believe that anyone hasn't said anything considering the stance NPL took on the word!! ;)

Yeah, I was going to post the same response as you Garth (don't give him the satisfaction) but you've covered it well.

In short.

NPL = awesome.
