All donkeys should burn in hell

Twice.

:D

At this stage I don't see any outright grumbling/complaining - it seems to be more constructive feedback - which is partly what this particular thread is for.

If you have some thoughts by all means express them.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

On a business sense it is a good idea to have the best average. It should attract more players to play the full season.
Players who play a lot like Frosty should be rewarded for supporting the NPL.
Its still in its juvenile stage so perhaps a tweak here and there should eventually have the system working perfectly
Perhaps bringing the average down to 20, 15 or even 12 games could be the answer to make it more attractive to all players instead of the 10 - 15% who play more than 2 - 3 times a week

The downside would be that larger venues will have a monopoly over smaller venues as the swing players chase bigger averages. Players who havent qualified at a venue but could sneak in by average would desert their usual smaller venue to chase points at a larger venue over the final few weeks to qualify. In the long run the smaller venues will eventually suffer due to lower point values on offer due to low patronage.

Under the new system, last season i would have had an average of 60 after playing over 70 games. Instead i had just over 24

The average amount of games played by our Top 50 qualifiers last season was 37.5. That's quite a large average amount of games for a 16 week season.

Is that the average of their overall games or just half of them?? :D

All fair enough though and I very much appreciate the straightforward response Garth.... I dislike dessing :-) I think that Pete's line of thinking in order to reward the players that play A LOT and that go to particular venue's has some merit, particularly the first suggestion but that might not encourage players to venture out and check out other venues as much.

I still dislike the new averaging system and next season will perhaps have to just stay with a couple of venues to go to, but I'll roll with it. Afterall not much choice ;)

so now we have a chat show as well and guess what it seems that poeple just what to keep putting down everything it doesn`t matter what method is used to find the best player for the season because if you are a half decent player you will make a top five somewhere last season`s winner only played 17 games the runner up played 120 now frosty didn`t make top fifty on ave but he smashed everyone at the gully he also did very well at other venues if you were to sit down and take the time to work out last season`s results on this seasons format i think you might find that the people who made the state final would still have made the state final me i played 94 games last season i made 23 final tables my ave was 25 something i didn`t finish top 50 it would have been 58 and been top 5 so what i enjoy playing and making new friends if i`m good enough i will make the state finals no matter how many games i play hey garth and co keep up the good work ps put up a leader board of who has the most wins per season and overall please
