Couldn't we just do this? Say there's 3 members in my team, benny the cunt, ShaunDilliWilli and myself (as Bruce suggested - "Willo's wonders") and we were facing Barossa Barrons. Why couldn't we just play them 1 v 1? benny the cunt vs a player from their team, Shaun vs another.... and so on. It would take longer, sure, but easier to organise than the team thing, and it takes on the same format as the heads up league now.
Or is this what we're already proposing?

+Team 1 Player 2 vs Team 2 Player 2
+Team 1 Player 3 vs Team 2 Player 3

... playing all three players 3x3 gave you three games to play
in the first round only --->total of nine --- team winning most progress to next level.
yes arranging your game time / playoff/ opposition is the problem and I understand Des's point of view as his expierence from the first season .
So the format and tables of games was presented .
A time limit for 1st round == say one month till end of march
would be given to all committed players to complete their games.
I dont propose to arrange or organize the games to be played,
just provide a reference point for results and games played schedules. if games alloted are not played forfiet is recorded and the ladder progresses to finality..
The convience of "on line" was the appeal of the "league"
why not schedule 2-3 nights in a week say 12-00 till 1-00pm and say nominate "Prize Poker " has the site for the 'online' games .
going to a internet cafe in person to play seems impractcable in this remote computer age.
I fully support a
' live heads up event" in addition/ in leu of a Teams event.
240 + runners 1st eliminations ---> 120 runners ----> etc winner.
,,, 1st round losers play down/back to a losers winner
