Last night I played at Barmera and won.

There were 22 runners, using the spread sheet Garth presented I should get 185 points for the win (22 x 1.5 x 5 + 20) however on the published results I got 175 (22 x 1.5 x 5 + 10).

A check of my wins at other challenge games show the calculation incorrect also, whilst its only a small amount but it could effect an important result.

As opposed to the rest of the table which only really caters for a very select few people who can play nearly every game every day.
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

At least these games are in your state. What hope does a Victorian or Tasmanian have of making the dreamteam?

Uphill battle imo.

It time to bring equity into all leaderboards the bais must be removed metro v country v big state v small state etc etc, maybe its time to revisit how points are distributed ie a win is worth x value and so forth down the line irrespective of how many runners, perhaps extend points to the 20 or 30 rather than 15.

Please Ditch the 10x events, and restrict the number of events online between 11am and 4pm it too much of an advantage to those who can play them every day.

Graham,

If you can come up with a fair and equitable way to distribute points then please let me know and feel free to post your ides here.

In saying "fair" I am actually implying a system that is equitable to all of our players (and their varied demographics, employment status and work schedules) not just your individual particular circumstances as well as offering some sort of added bonus to those players who support the league (via in venue and online money play activity) on a more consistent basis than others.

Granted the 10X points multiplier game has had a slight impact on the DT score board, but I honestly believe not as large an impact as the online games and player volumes continue to do so.

I honestly believe we are closer to a more comparable/honest system than ever before. I also have plans to introduce bonus large points Foundation and Challenge Away events at least twice per season in regional areas. I am also looking to introduce capped points for events but with our current development issues of everything website/score board and databases this may not be introduced until later into this year.

I am willing to debate this in another thread and answer any questions or complaints, but be aware I have just come off a 16 hour day where I have had to map out every little issue we have with our new website and database development. So please re read your post thoroughly and ensure that your complaints are constructive, your points are valid and logical and it's not having a whine for whine's sack. Offer me alternatives or differing points of view and I will listen.

I needed to breathe deeply for five minutes before I responded to Gundog's post and he is lucky he did not get this very simple and eloquent response - NO!
