would i get respect for winning 3 hands a night and sitting at a table with enough chips to be blinded out and make points everytime?

It's not hard to place if you have no intentions in taking any risks.

all i'm saying is that i think the top 3 should be more rewarded.

BTW Pete do you know who i am?
i don't know who you are.

Don't feel bad mate, I'm rude to everyone :)

without rudeness, my point was this...

At the end of the season, for each venue, the top 5 total points getters make the final. That's the structure. Play it however you want to, as will others.

Clearly, placing as often as you can in that season means you're in with a good shot of the top 5.

Now tell me again why players shouldn't try and achieve this? If you go for the win more often than others, and you're good enough AND lucky enough, then you should finish above them at the end of the season. I know NPL players who do just this and successfully.

If you don't then you were either a) unlucky more often or b) not that good or c) a combination of both of those.

It sounds as though you want better rewards for a win. Check out what some of the other venues are offering in the way of prizes.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

if the points were cash then think of it like this
50 runners
1st= $60k
2nd=$55k
3rd=$52.5k
4th=$50k
10th=$35k

pretty cool comp but who cares if you finished 1st or 10th, it's realistically not much of an advantage to win.

Rick, you are complaining about tight players that consistently point each week and make the finals.

Did it occur to you that these players have adapted their style for a tighter game so that they can make the points consistently? is there not some skill in that?

if it was top 5 only in the points, or a massive incentive for first place, then those people might loosen up a bit more, because they have to.

saying that these players dont have any skill is just rediculous.

u gotta know when to foldem....

Pete and benny the cunt have the idea !

my TD just quoted something I found most encouraging !

Plan the Play then Play the Plan.

My Plan in the season - get points

Try it

Read somewhere even the pros win less than 50% of the Time ,they just win Big when they win.

So try this target -- place in the points more than 50% of the games you play.

I now have a play named after me its called -- THE BRUCE FOLD.
my favourite saying " Oh No better watch out Bruce's Playing"

my TD has suggested I can now play any two cards I like and probably win !

i'm not criticising people for playing tight, i've seem them hit the quota and lose all presence in the game for the last 30-45 minutes of the game.
I don't have a problem with it but i do think that the better players who are using this game plan would benefit.
the podium should be scaled with a higher percentage for 1 2 and 3.

I'm just little Rick, my opinion isn't valid until the management agrees.
