i would think of it on the flip side, and say that it is more advantageous to get people to cross that boundary into the group that DO financially support 888pl in a way. and give them incentives to do so.

"why should these people get ANYTHING?!?!?!?!"

they are made to work bloody hard if thats the way they choose to play. it is possible to qualify for finals and prizes whilst not paying a cent, but i would say that it is much easier to financially support the venue.

it should be a similar thing with the online games. at present, the rebuy games are a loophole.

Sinitster wrote:I think we just need to learn whatever system they put in place and play it to our best advantage , regardless wether it has it rights or wrongs !

yep, this is true. i can't begrudge a person that uses the current system to their advantage. but on a forum such as this, it is a great place to come up with improvements. i can think of numerous examples where us forumers had an influence on the competition we play in (which is awesome, and a credit to garth and other management)

No mate, it is currently your top 15 averages total no matter where you score them...

DT averages are comprised of your best 10 away games and you best 10 home games.

I really think you are mistaken here mate. Unless it is different this season, what I wrote above is how it is...

Trust me Jo - I'm right :D

To compete for your share of the $20,000 prize pool you must have participated in 10 Away (in venue) and 10 Home (online) games in that season. Rankings are calculated on the average of your 10 best Home (online) and 10 best Away (in venue) game point scores.

So are you telling me that the current DT leaders have had 10 away games scoring in excess of 600+ points each????

(on the old website I could have checked for myself, but it is impossible to do so on the new website)....

I think you're missing the point Jmack.
10 best away games, get the average.
10 best home games, get the average.
Combine both averages together to get your total score.
Some people have scores in the 600's because of the online games being so lucrative.
Does that make sense?

It doesn't make sense at all unless they are "added" together...

Let me spell out why I am confused.

The max score online at the moment is 685 (win in MM or AK)

So lets say 10 wins, your online average is 685.

Away points - I don't think too many people (if any) have had 10 x 500+ scores (I might be wrong)

But let's say your away average is 500.

If you combine an average of 685 with an average of 500, you get an average of 592.5....

If it is the average of best 10 scores total out of these 10 home and 10 away, then I see your point, but it is still not an average of 10 home + 10 away....

Yes Chris, that would be great, but I don't think that's how it works at the moment....
