Question about top 5 positions

I do believe it is the highest position first Dave.
All I know is I punch in the qualification rules and the whizz bang computer spits out a qualifiers list which I have to go over with a fine tooth comb.
Highest position first at all time, but I think the process removes all leaderboard players and then calculates venue leaderboards alphabetically, so if you finished 5th at the Alma but actually got pushed up to 2nd at the Wheatsheaf then the Alma is the venue you qualify through because it begins with A.

Hi there Garth. I'm still a little unsure and I was about to send you an Email when I seen your attached reply. So I decided it may help others who may be in a similar situation as myself.

I had just returned from Victoria last nite and wanted to see if I could possibly make it to the finals. After looking at the results for last season and doing the appropriate shuffling of names, I was pretty sure I had made 5th position at the Parafield Flying Club.

Unfortunately it was around 2am this morning and when I went to confirm my findings this afternoon the NPL site doesn't show last seasons results.

Fortunately I sent my findings to another player and I still had a copy. So, are you able to tell me whether or not that in my situation I am correct in my assumptions, please?

2. Michael G
3. Foti
4. Roger G

These guys all stay in the top 4 positions as this is their best individual results

The following have either made it into the top 50 or have a better finishing place elsewhere.

5. Deano top 50 placing Plus 5th @ Para Hills
6. Tony Hall Top 50 Plus 3rd @ Pooraka
7. Rocco 2nd @ Bridge Way

8. Bob B ...I assume this allows me to move straight into 5th spot???

I will not be able to answer your question definitively until I return to Adelaide Wednesday. Even then it may take longer, I need to make sure all leaderboards and results are correct across the state.
That's over 1300 results before I even start on leaderboards.
Unfortunately most of the operators don't seem to want to do this aspect of their job so I am going to have to do it and again there is a delay for the players.
Thanks to Darren, Matty and Tim who have definitely responded that all of their results are correct for their region.
I cannot say either way if you have or have not made it Bob.

Okay Garth. I guess I/we really need to get onto Dakota tonite seeing he's looking after us guys and gals in the NE region.

I don't want to put you on the spot but, assuming the placings that I had available last nite would my findings be correct?
