Interesting idea which has a lot of merit.
I think points for the semi's are not high on the priorities list for most players, because if you want to chase a semi seat its easy to qualify online.
How many players play their local venue almost every week, then decide how to reward that player, perhaps if you played 10 or more games at the venue for the season you receive an extra 500 chips each week for the next season.

I was thinking about this myself.
You are given a booklet that has the stamps in, maybe 10 to a page!

I think an idea would be that you get a card that has 100/150 places for a stamp.
You only get one card at the beginning of the season.
Each stamp is worth 1,000 chips. You get one stamp for every $2 spent.
It is then up to you when you use the cards for chips.
So if running hot in event 1 you dont use the chip up card.
In event 2/3 if struggling you can cash in upto 10 stamps for 10,000 additional chips. prior to the first break
You can only get an additional 10,000 chips each night, but you can spend a larger amount then this, just dont use the chip ups.
If you dont use the stamp ups at the end of the season they are forfeited and you are given a new card at the start of the new season.
When you chip up the TD punches a hole in your card.
Not very fair......remember responsible drinking... is everyones responsibility

that would work
i like the idea of some sort of token "loyalty bonus" like extra chips. but it has to be uncomplicated.
having a massive book just means it will be hard to organise for the TDs. gundog is right as well, you dont want it to turn into a drinking contest.
giving a player 3 cards with the third card clearly marked as a bonus and the date, wouldn't be that hard to do

Personally option a) would be my preference as it rewards the people that give that little extra support to the venue.

Re: Repeat business incentives
Another idea
Have a booklet that has 20 chip ups in it.
The venue buys a set number off 888pl TD (100) for a set a cost ie $2
They are then able to unsell to the player for say $20. Each chip up worth $1000 chips.
The player can then use the chip ups when they like.
The venue is making money for nothing just price paid to 888pl and you dont need to drink to chip up.

Using booklets and things is way to complicated i think. Here is a simple idea.
What i like is the idea of a 'meal card'
The meal card is stamped obviously before the start of an event when you buy a meal, and can be used for an extra T1000 (or even T2000) on your start stack from the beginning.
The other two cards that you get at registration can be used as normal.
Speaking from the perspective of my venue, it may cook 10 meals (at a maximum) for poker players on a tuesday night. A promotion such as the meal card would increase the amount of people buying meals (i would be one of them), and therefore increase both revenue for the venue, and return for the players that support their venue.
This would be very easy to implement too. TC's already have spare cards, just write MEAL on one, or a highliter mark or something. If people eat their meal before a TC arrives, then people can just keep their reciept and get the bar to stamp it before the event starts.
What do people think?
