Hi Everyone!

Unfortunately benny the cunt if you purchase this ticket you must play it. No player has the right to hold over any ticket it's just in some cases we will allow it.

It is more than just paper work too. We can only generate a certain amount of GF tickets each season and for each ticket we allow a pass on diminishes our GF prize pool by $500... These guidelines exist to protect the integrity of out competition. I have had numerous requests I have had to decline regarding holding tickets over, if not for declining them out prize pool could have suffered a $10,000 loss...

Also with the above being said, I am not sure if you are aware that the next GF is in Victoria, would you really use this ticket then knowing you would have to cost out additional travel and accommodation and perhaps use your annual leave to do so? Or would just expect to carry it over a additional season after that? If the State of Origin Promo goes in favour of the Vic's, the next two GF will be held there.

If we allow carry overs as freely as everyone insists we do, as the final alternates states the Vic's wouldn't come the SA and South Aussies wouldn't go Vic... this would have MASSIVE impact of the prize pool and be an incredible work load for us.

Please don't think we are the ticket Nazi's we are doing what is in the best interest of every member in our league. If you won a AM satellite at Crown, do you think they would allow to say "i'll just play the next one" I think not, they run satellites to ensure they hit the expected prize pools and fields.

The only case outside of the 888PL where I have heard of such a process where ticket holders can delay in the event is when 18-20 years win WSOP packages. Other than that... el zilcho!

Hope this helps guys and I am sorry if the response disappoints.

The most common case of a carry over is a multi ticket winner. If a player wins more than one ticket

Also guys, Please know that if you do have a request to carry over a ticket you should ask, we won't knock back any reasonable request and we are also very able to help you transfer or sell you ticket if it is what's required.

thanks for the reply nathan.

unfortunately for me, they sound like pretty reasonable reasons. i guess i will have to pass on the ticket.

and yes, if i had the chance to go to melbourne, i would - road trip + cheapo ammomodation, would make it a cheap weekend. the only expensive thing would be chereen's shopping!

I thought the next GF (the one after the upcoming one) was being decided by the State of Origin game? So the 3rd GF is in Vic, and the 4th is being decided by SOO?

Fair reasoning there Nathan. My issue was with not being allowed to hold over a multiple ticket for next season - but it seems this still is the case, which is good.

If a player wins multiple GF tickets they are able to hold over ONE ticket/entry to the next Grand Final. Players with more than two tickets have no option but to transfer to another friend/stake an 888PL player or sell these tickets.

We will not allow transfers of tickets further than this, if their is a legit reason as to why a player cannot attend the GF he has won a ticket for then we will decide upon transfers on a case by case basis.

It is just too much of a clerical and administrative problem to monitor Grand Final QUalifiers past the next consecutive Grand Final.

The Next Grand Final will be held in August in Melbourne and will be pretty big with what we have planned. The SoO promotion decides where the first GF in 20100 will be hold and who is the host city!
