Attention Brett and Garth,

Please take note that we are something like 1/3 of the way through the season and the $2.20 event leader boards still remain blank.

I understand from your post(s) the difficult task this represents for 888pl, but i think you under-estimate the importance of the leaderboards to players and benefit the leaderboards provide 888pl.

One of the MOST important aspects of the 888pl is that it is A LEAGUE! A league in which success is judged by leaderboard ranking. All of the decent player at pubs sweat the leaderboard ranks, as they increase the prestige and heightens the enjoyment for competetive players. Online leagues are no different.

We can play on line poker on an ever growing list of poker sites, but the MAJOR point of difference 888pl provides is the league element (and the reward for top 5 finishes etc..)

888pl benefit because if leaderboards are updated regularly and players are aware of the fact that they are close to qualification they will be inclined to play more and pay more enty fees.

Garth, perhaps if your staff are so pushed for time you might want to consider hiring more staff or delegate the crap jobs to a newbie.

I doubt i am alone in wanting these leaderboards updated.

Thank You.

Pretty much this. Excellent post Gmatical.

Maybe a time frame on when the leaderboards will be updated would be nice? I'm sweating my online challenge venue too - started playing it halfway through the season, so would like to know if I'm in with a shot or not.

i'm currently on page two of the ' dreamteam ' LB

last season enjoyed the rivialry of beating others and holding my spot on page 1, [ finished 37th.}

enjoyed meeting and greeting ppls and note me m8 Bob B doing a top 20 this season. wtg bobeeeeee

thks 4 the venue leaders trophy makes 4 a great and impressive card protector ;) and I concur the 'fellowship' of a top five finish and its attainment makes for a good night of live poker.

Results are up to date as of October 10th.

The leader boards are something that I have no control over. As far as my limited understanding on this matter goes the games results for online events in season 2 are not been allocated to a season and hence when a result is uploaded it is not reflected on any of the groups of seasonal leader boards for season 2.

I was unaware fully of this issue until last week, now the issue we have is that the IT guy who maintains the website and the databases and the administration tools we use is not employed by us but by NPL in Sydney. Thus we are struggling to push through any urgent IT work at this time.

The reasons for this strain in relationships between NPL and FHG will become apparent next year but I do not underestimate the importance of leader boards nor the benefits of our league structure; I am always on this site to listen to players and I am the first to speak up on behalf of players and their wants and needs in situations that most of you would never have contemplated.

Whilst this is a player support and customer experience issue it has now turned political and no matter how much jumping up and down I do a solution must be reached by diplomatic means, which in itself is time consuming.

Garth, perhaps if your staff are so pushed for time you might want to consider hiring more staff or delegate the crap jobs to a newbie.

Obviously this is an easy answer for everyone and I must say I scoffed at the ignorance of this statement for several reasons; if it was as easy as hiring or contracting someone else to do this job it would have been done already. A crap job it maybe; simply because it is a gruelling mind numbing process for updating the online scoreboards, but it also requires a great deal of attention, focus and care. If you were fully aware of the admin work required and the sub standard tools we have to use you would perhaps understand that putting a "newbie" on to this project would not be the best idea.

In the end I am sure that like most customers you don't care for the explanations or excuses, but one of my few redeeming characteristics is that I am always transparent and don't hide anything from players when asked. All I can say is that I am aware of player's frustrations and those who update the online results and I hope to have a resolution for this season's problems before too long.
