The reason there's not already more games than there currently are is to avoid the "there's more opportunity playing online" argument. This has already been declared.
There were more live opportunities for the former (and poorly named) top 50 as well, provided they didn't have a life and did nothing else but play (read: show up a lot to) poker, which is exactly what they did.
It really isn't that different to complaining that venue A regularly has more runners than venue B and somehow that's not fair.
As I'm sure everyone was aware, the way around that was to show up to more of the larger venues if that was your concern.
Equally, play more online and it won't be an issue now either.
I'm certainly not suggesting that is practical, but it's not anyone elses fault if you (or anyone else) can't do that.

Re: Question about Dreamteam Scoreboard
What I was trying see people was that your score for the dreamteam should be made the same way you have to qualify.
EG your best 10 away games and your best 5 home games, add them together, divide by 15 for your average.
If thats the way that you have to qualify then to me it seems silly that they would take your 15 best results overal. This will only encourage online poker. If the majority of your average has to come from away cames this will encourage people to attend the venues.
I'm no marketing guru but it would seem that this methodology is directly related to getting us play more online at 888. Once people have there 10 games away, and that may be just a registration, then they are going to target the big freerolls with 200 runners. Whilst they are online there is more chance that they will put some money through sng or ring games.
I guarantee with the formula provided for this dream team the leaderboard will be the same as the home game leaderboard.

Re: Question about Dreamteam Scoreboard
i wouldn't be so sure about it. yes, the home games will make up a bulk of the points, but there are guys at the present time that have a 15 point better average because of their away games. so it does make a difference.
secondly, its the first season that this leaderboard has run, so i think you can cut them some slack - remember what happened with the leaderboards in the very first season of NPL?
thirdly, i am sitting third on the home leaderboard at the moment, so i am not complaining!!!

Whooo I just noticed I'm 14th on the Dreamteam Scoreboard and 34th on the Home one
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

I live 80 minutes from the CBD and the nearest venue is 40 minutes from me (Nuriooptu), there is nothing worse than driving to a venue, getting beaten by Donkeys within 50 minutes and then having to drive home.
Please note that I am NOT the World Champ, Australian Champ, SA champ or even the Adelaide Hills champ so any advice I give must be taken with tonne of salt

Sedan maybe, Swan Reach, Cambrai. I reckon from that area.

Birdwood -and when NPL finished at Gumeracha I desperately searched for another venue to play, but nothing was within 30 minutes. Nurioopta is 40 minutes away and that was the closest.
If a venue is free then you will always have some "Non-thinking players" (I LOVE that terminology!!) While I was at Noori they must have had problems with non-thinkers as the TD said he was going to kick people out of the tourny just for saying it - was he serious? well, all the regulars stopped saying it so they must have thought he was!!
While getting beaten by a non-thinker is a fact of life I still don't enjoy driving a long time to get beaten by a drunk who plays k 8 each time because their girlfriend is called Kate.
