In reality I would like to see some points awarded for some larger field CHallenge Away events.

Ok not the Dream Team Leader Board - it is the Dream Team Score Board.

And only time will tell.

But if I was 888 I would want people with a proven track record of results in big fields, pressure situations, when I am investing in them in other tourneys.

Tell me why points should not be awarded for Satellites, one off special events Qualifying finals and Satellites or the Semi Finals.

Points are generally used for state finals. Regular consistency over x weeks is rewarded by a top 5 placing and entry into y final. Awarding points for a tournament where anything but 1st could be regarded as a failure, seems stupid to me. Ok, so you finished 3rd out of 400, well done. Not begrudging that. When I enter a satelitte, I check the payout scale. I will always be going for that position that awards the prize. Finishing 11th when the FT pays in a 500+ field is the same as finishing 500th. I wouldn't expect anything.

I have no problem with awarding points for the DT LDB through Champs events.

As stated before the Dream Team Scoreboard is about big scores and players doing well in all facets of our competition. Whilst consistency and mass volume is the key; the fact that someone has a big score in a field in excess of 200 should be recognised as well and as such be present on the scoreboard.

I think benny the cunt and I have confused the goals and aspects of the DT LDB. At least I assumed that the events that would be counted would be open for everyone to play (freerolls). They would all award the same points structure, so regular, high finishes are the key. Opening up events at Champs for qualification for the DT LDB seems unfair to players who haven't qualified. But I'm not going to get into that.

I guess it comes back to the old argument. What's better, 1 win in a 1000+ field and 2 FT's or 11 FT's and a 3rd in a 200+ field. You're obviously going for big wins and big rewards over overall consistency on the DT LDB.
