berri happily welcomed Hawthorn's second/third side over the weekend :-)

I'm sure the TD's will run the event out of the goodness of their hearts to cut costs ;-)
And $20 buy in would be reasonable

As long a it's doable, making it a buy-in event for an amount like $20 would be great.

I'd be willing to go up to $50 for something the same as last year :D but 20 sounds very reasonable.

Actually, more like $200 if the blind structure was slightly more relaxed than last year.... Not that I'm complaining about last year in any way shape or form, but if significant $$ is involved... anyway, it isn't going to happen.

And the reperchage on the Sunday, will that be happening again? Could $10 SnG's be run for those knocked out of that one too? And you begin to see why this is going to be a logistical nightmare for management :D

Any chance we could get the month this *might* be happening in?

Why not, and sunday S&G's a good idea

i never doubted for a second that you didn't know what you are talking about

If you were travelling two hours plus to attend this event, spending your weeks wage on accom and meals, would you expect an A+ event, or can we just send up the second string team?

And yes we do have a second string team.

what i am trying to say is, places like that would run events for a few hundred people all the time. i dont see how this would be any different

and i don't doubt that second string team would do a good job either.

maybe because of the good jobs that you guys do, most of us think that it is easier than im sure it is.

and 20 buck buyin would be good i reckon. anything over 50 would severely limit the number i think. i would rather have bigger numbers generating the same prize pool than a smaller group paying 200 or something like that.

rcon, how much more relaxed could the blinds get? tourney finished at 730pm ( if i remember correctly) on the second day

i suppose you could start earlier on the second day, or go later on the first day, and maybe kick in the antes a bit later, but otherwise i thought the structure was pretty much spot on for a 2 day event.

After you 4-bet me pre flop with 7 4, you reckon I'm believing anything you say or do again?? :D

benny the cunt, places like that might run events for that many people all the time, but they ain't running 2 day, deepstack poker events for that many people all the time.

I think anything more than $50 for a buyin and you'll lose lots of players. Everyone is already having to pay for hotels/meals/etc. Its a big weekend, I know I spent upwards of $200. I heard many spent that on the first day, on drinks alone.

$20 seems ok, will push the prizepool up a bit more too.
