on the second point, i agree 100%, imagine being in the city one night for dinner and deciding, lets give poker a try, u get a few hands and end up winning the tournament, next thing the TD goes to you "sorry mate no prizes this week, IOU for next week", like your gonna come back with that sort of professionalism

Re: I'm a little disappointed
Is the reason for the IOU prize packs because there are brand new prize packs this season and they are just waiting for delivery? Or is it because they have just ran out of stock? I expect that an external supplier is holding things up and they want to have the new prize packs this season as it's attached to the promotion which has been heard on the grapevine.

Re: I'm a little disappointed
Sorry to pull a particular comment by you Mr.. but this is my point exactly;
Again, this is what I am talking about we have gossip about what is happening in regards to the final table chips, we have gossip about the Weekly Top 10.
But no answers.
Anything I gave as an answer would be a guess... LOL
So to be honest, I don't know, all we were told was our TD did not get the delivery he was supposed to on Monday night.

You have to remember, this forum is run by the players, not by the NPL.
Maybe email annabelle and ask her directly.

Re: I'm a little disappointed
I'm pretty sure Garth answered that despite "issues" with the weekly top 10 would not be changing anytime soon, due to the money Sky City and NPL had put into advertising. See here for Why POTW won't be changing.Nevah play JJ wrote:Again, this is what I am talking about we have gossip about what is happening in regards to <edit> the Weekly Top 10.

So no gossip after all JJ

I strongly believe Matty Norwood should of been appointed this position. Maybe NPL will get it right next time around!

I have not forgotten that at all Des.
However it has been strongly pushed by nearly all TD's out this way as the place to go to discuss NPLSA.
It was highly used by Garth, to discuss anything and everything.
Most of you seem to be thinking I am attacking Annabelle, I AM NOT!!!
So please get that in your heads now!!
One of the things I am saying is I am disappointed that this site in particular was used as a tool to stop rumours, discuss rulings and reasons for rules existing as well as banter around ideas and suggestions, all with the input from the then OM.
Garth was Garth and he is not replaceable! However some of his previous ways of doing things can be and should be carried on.
As it stands now, the only way things get passed down the pipelines is by TD's yelling out over a crowded room to a bunch of people just wanting to get to playing poker.
Most are not passing on all the information, some are passing on all the informtion, and then there are some that are just not saying a thing at all.
This is the place for things to be said in a clear and concise manner.
I stand by what I say.

Recon you know I am a NPLSA.com forums whore, I frequent this site as much as you do (
So I do know about that particular forum.
HOWEVER, I understood it to be a one season off event.
I also understood Garth said it would be reviewed, eg: qualifying, after the first season. Has this been done?
We all know it was an unfair way to qualify, especially for those that do not go to City games. But this isn't the forum to discuss this again.
But I do still hear people asking about it.
