There were a couple of instances where I limped MP, but in the end, the best strategy against him (and players like him) was to raise/fold, and when he continued to call a raise from any position, regardless of holdings, I steered clear until I had a premium hand to play against him. Sadly, it was the one time he woke up with a reasonable hand himself, and outdrew me.

so there was a player that was re-raising a lot but not opening? interesting.
i would say that raise/fold is still the better way to go, but hands like pocket pairs that you only wanna play for set value, i think its ok to limp with these.
in a super turbo tourney, i think tightening up is the way to go - if they are so eager to put chips in the pot, then just let them.
in an online cash game, if they are 3betting you wide, then, depending on the opponent, i will just start 4betting them wider. obviously in an 888pl game you dont have enough chips to do this.
so yeah, player S is obviously scotty, and knowing scotty, he would have just tightened up so that the next time he was in a hand, he had the goods.
