Can you fold this

Jim Sachinidis makes big fold.
Written by procession, 2010 08 28 02:58 pm EST

We caught the action as Jim Sachinidis had the clock called on him facing an all in decision.

The board read [Ah 5d 2c 4d 2s]

With the clock ticking against Sachinidis, after a few more moments he finally decided to fold. He threw over 4 4 for a folded full house. The other player then graciously showed 2 2 for quads!

Sachinidis then lept to his feet in what can only be described as a mix of both disgust that the river brought the two and relief that he made the right fold.

It depends on the action up to the river and how well you know your opponent, but yeah thats a big laydown...

Bet he's glad he didnt jam the turn, cos the set of 2s would likely have called!
Maybe the straight possibility slowed him down?

Still, if its early, and you dont have much in the middle already....??
Possibly. 4th nut hand...

Closest I have come is folding a nut flush on a paired board to a river push...
I also had the clock called on me and was also shown quads, after I showed my own folded hand...

I couldnt understand why the player called the clock on me??
Holding THE NUTS, why do anything to jepordise a call??

Might make him more eager to call if there's a time limit.

Def would have its advantages.

Possibly...
just when I cant come to a definite decision, I usually choose the path that doesnt possibly end my tourney...
I have actually (in my head) put the clock on myself a few times, for this very reason. I figure if I am still thinking about it after 3 minutes, I cant be sure enough to call, so I fold...
