nplking ??

Shortly before first break and I have this hand. They are playing so loose I figure I am ahead a lot of the time but it just smells like at least one of em has AA/KK. I am 8th overall at this stage, best to let it go or do you call?

A hell load of hand ranges there ..if they are 'loose' like you said could be 88 in 1 hand and AK clubs in the other, or 99, 66, 77, if they are very loose like VPIP over 45 I would call, if they are under 25 its a fold... its all dependent on the play up too that hand.

rogues11 40/8/5.3 (67)
roniblk 46/6/20 (17)

Well in that case I would call... you still might be beat by 1 of them ...even LAG's get cards, but its +EV to call, long term you would be in front calling against those stats.

Pokerstove knows all!

I don't think you are beating much out there at the moment for this action.

Beware the min 3 bet.

I'd hardly call that a "low" board - someone has smacked that flop hard.

At BEST you're up against a TPTK hand or a pair with the straight draw. At a stretch you're up against a naked flush draw.

I can't think of an easier spot to fold QQ

I do get sick of seeing the "min bet for value pre with my AA", "uh oh scary board better jam here and turn my hand into a bluff" type scenarios.

Not really needed in this situation unless you put them on a hand like [Ac 9c] (where roomie?)

This seems to be happening quite frequently of late. Have the 'big boys' been doing this on TV or something?

Are you sure? If those stats come from a sample of 6700 hands instead of 67, poker stove is most definitely required. Pick your hand ranges below.
Getting almost 2 to 1 on our money? But depending on stage of the tournament our tournament equity (ICM) increases dramatically with a double up in this spot (I presume this because 6K = 8th, 16K would almost be 1st.)
