Can someone please tell me how to write in a post so that JJ or AK comes out looking like J of clubs J of spades and A of diamonds K of diamonds.

easiest way is to put the letter or number of the card, along with the letter denoting its suit inside square brackets.
e.g. (Ac) and (Js) and (6d) will look like this [ac] and [js] and [6d] if i substituted the round brackets in my example for square brackets. i.e. [ ]
EDIT: im the wost speller ever. or maybe im just a bad typist. i think its the latter actually.

Alternatively. If you have a text based Hand History which often accompanies the hand replayer on most online sites then you can copy this into a site like this one (this ones an example for fulltilt) and it will output the text in a 'forum friendly' manner - the forum will then automatically convert card pics etc.
Thats what most posters do for their hand history's. You may see posts referring to people as 'hero' or 'villain'. Thats also what the below convertor, and others like it, do as well. They are very handy tools. In fact if you want to post a hand in the Hand Discussion forum, then a convertor is the way to go. It means that others get more information in which to comment on your hand with.

I can only speak for fulltilt, which is the site i play on most, but the pic below explains how to get it.
Once you open the second box, then copy all of that into a hand convertor.

the other option is to go look in your hand history folder.
for 888, if you look in the lobby, go settings -> hand history, and if you have hand history enabled, there will be a folder name there.
if you open up the folder, you should be able to find what you are looking for. (with a bit of looking)

I thought that guys name was Fort Dog for a second, but Fart Dog is just as good.
I'd like to know what that guy raised to as well.

haha, i actually played a few hands just so i could get a hand history from the graphical hand replayer.
I led $1.10 into the $1.50 (ish) pot and the other dude raised to like $4.50. I figured he would just flat with AQ/AJ (unless he has a wheel draw with it - maybe) so my reasoning was 2 pair/set, maybe even top set, so i folded. good move muzz?

Also, for sites such as 888 with poor inbuilt 'previous hand(s)' facility, if you use HEM or PT you can export the hand in a format the FTR hand converter can read. In HEM, you can do this straight from the HUD hand history, or look through a more graphical view of the hands in the main window's 'Data View'... Saves going through the hand history file manually, but if you do need to, use the search/find and you an plug in your hole cards to make finding the hand easier... And dont open 888 hand history files in Notepad, it doesnt like the newline character used... Use Wordpad instead, or get something like Notepad++ (free)
