Heads Up - Any ace plays?

Finally broke my near 2 and a half year drought last night!

Going in heads up, i got dealt A7 off, opponent shoves all in, um and ahh for a sec and call (he had about 10k more than me at this stage)

flips over 44

hit the 7 on the flop and he never recovers

he questioned why i called, and said that generally heads up that an ace is usually a good hand to play.

My question is this, going heads up, is playing an ace a good play, even if unsuited?

if your opponent is aggressive then yes.

if they are still playing heads up like there is 10 people on the table and folding a bunch of the time, then no.

well done on ur win rob

Yeah, I would have done the same at a live 888pl event.

Funny thing is that hand cost me $900!
I was in the hot seat at Para Hills CC, 128 runners, and i was heads up.

Dude pushes all in and I call with A7.

Unfortunately for me, it wasn't 44 he had, but 77 :(
