Ok, so we're in a $3 MTT on Stars. 8k gtd I think, that hit 12k. Aaanyways, we're early on, I haven't played many hands except for calling a min raise OTB with QTdd, calling a bet on a KJx flop, checking back turn, folding to an 840 bet into a 200 pot on the river when I brick. This is the only interesting hand to note, apart from that its been raise/cbet flop or limp/fold on a few hands.

Obv we can assume the entire table is donk, its a $3 MTT. The only player I'm worried about is SB, who seems to be competent. So if my image was anything, its prob weak passive. I had only raised a few single hands, and was playing fairly weak preflop.

Reads... its hard to get reads in these sorts of MTTs. The play here is so awful. I had seen villian stack off a large portion of his chip stack earlier with TPBK + gutshot, so this is why I raised the flop, I want to create a (somewhat) large pot. When he called I knew I had to bet turn, was expecting another c/c.

I think taking control here is key, as in these tournys, you will get called super wide in just about ANY spot imaginable (villian called me down with Q8ss).

I know that my river rr should definitely be bigger.

with the river to come, the pot is T1500, and MP1 has 2090 left. from this position, its pretty hard to get his whole stack in the middle, even if you do re-raise big on the river.

i would have bet 500-600.

a bet of 600 adds another 500 to the pot and makes the pot 2K, and leaves him with 1800 odd left. from this position, me may feel he is committed to a large raise from you.


as played, i would be raising to 1200 on the river, to try and get him to shove over the top.

The river jam is good, most novice players think overbet and your bluffing the river.

The way he is playing this hand leads me to believe he will call any river bet, early stages of the tournament and the pool is full of fish. Push for max value here.

CT, he has most definitely flopped the nuts

if the turn or river is a heart, then the flush becomes the nuts, but on the flop, the straight is the nuts.
