$10 heads up. Blinds 10/20, starting stack 1500. 1st hand, I have 93 in the BB, check to his limp.

Flop: 9 9 T (suits not important). I check, he bets 280, into a pot of 40. Um, I've seen some weird play but... ok. He probably has a T, and on top of that, a few too many drinks. I call.

Turn: X. I check, he insta goes all in. Awesome! I call.

Shows: Q9.

Ahahahahaha. What was he hoping to get called by?

Trips, in heads up. I would think I'm good 100% of the time there, regardless of my kicker. And of course, he didn't play it like he had a 9.

it does seem like a weird play, but i guess you could say he was deliberately overplaying it so that you might think he was bluffing and trying to buy it.
