fair points garth.
the reason i only had 2800 was because i just lost a pot a couple of hands before, when i had 88 and raised, got called down by ace rag and the board came with aces and kings, so i lost about 2400 in that hand. i probably played this hand incorrectly, as i should have shoved, but i was UTG, so i thought a 3BB raise was a better move to make. but that was a previous hand.
thinking about it more closely, i was cutoff-1, and there were 2 callers, from UTG and no 1. so there was already 2100 in the pot. (darren was actually dealing, not the person that called me. my bad)
so when i got dealt

, i thought it was the right move to make. i thought about just raising, but with the amount of chips i had, i was probably shoving on the flop regardless of whether i caught a piece of it or not, so i decided to go all in and either take the blinds, or hopefully only get 1 caller.
this happened, and when she turned over J9, i was happy, although as you say, it was only a 60-40 situation.
i guess what i am trying to say is, i think i have been playing pretty well over the course of this season, certainly as well if not better than last season, but all of the coin flips (and 80-20 situations for that matter) have been going against me.
but hey thats poker, the whole winging part was just a joke in that i seem to be posting more bad beat stories then everyone else combined.
but you are right garth, most of the time i post a bad beat, but then i ask for comments on how people would have played that hand differently, or whether i made the right move.
